Leveraging Blue Jays and Golf Canada Partnerships
PENN is also expanding its efforts through its partnerships with the Toronto Blue Jays and Golf Canada, which allow them to reach a wider audience.
In Ontario’s regulated market, casinos are a key differentiator for operators. The most recent statistics from iGaming Ontario show that in a market that saw CAD $7.79 billion in total cash wagers in April, the casino vertical captured 84% market share in terms of wagers, translating to 78% of the market’s revenue.
In April, PENN debuted theScore Casino, a stand-alone iCasino app in Ontario, utilising their proprietary technology platform.

Recently, PENN launched PGA Tour Blackjack in both New Jersey and Ontario, showcasing classic blackjack along with innovative gameplay features and thematic presentations.
“Ontario represents a significant market for us, both in online sports betting and iCasino, where we launch bespoke games crafted by our in-house team, PENN Game Studios,” said Birney.

“Owning every aspect of the development process means we can control our timelines, prioritise launches, and incorporate our partners more effectively when creating exclusive content that’s only available through our platform.”
